Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS)
APS is the state merit scholarship for Alaska high school graduates (public, private or homeschool) who take a rigorous course list and earn a 2.5+ GPA or qualifying ACT/SAT score. Award levels: up to $7,000/yr (3.5 GPA or ACT 25/SAT 1210), $5,250 (3.0 or ACT 23/SAT 1130), $3,500 (2.5 or ACT 21/SAT 1060), usable at qualifying Alaska schools including UAF/KuC for up to 8 full-time terms within 8 years. There is no separate application: file the FAFSA by the June 30 priority deadline each year (or the APS Alternative Application), enroll in 12+ credits, and track your award in the ASAP portal.
