Coastal Villages Region Fund Youth to Work (ages 14-19)
CVRF's Youth to Work pays 14-19 year olds from its 20 member coastal communities for a summer of work experience in their own village: applying online, showing up on time, doing a community service project and job shadowing at local stores and governing bodies, and learning traditional crafts from local instructors. Team Lead positions need a 2.5 GPA and two prior YTW seasons (or equivalent leadership experience). Rising high-school seniors can apply for Youth to Work Maritime, which runs courses through AVTEC in Seward. Apply online at coastalvillages.org; CVRF Anchorage office 907-278-5151 / 1-888-795-5151.
