Kuskokwim Bay commercial salmon fishery (Districts 4 & 5) - permits and announcements

Commercial salmon fishing in Kuskokwim Bay Districts 4 (Quinhagak) and 5 (Goodnews Bay) opens each summer, usually in July, in fishing periods that ADF&G announces in numbered Kuskokwim Bay Fishery Announcements (posted on ADF&G's Kuskokwim commercial salmon page). To fish you need a CFEC permit valid for the season plus government ID, and every crewmember needs a current commercial crewmember license or commercial fishing permit. Registered buyers change from year to year and it is the fisher's responsibility to have a market - check that season's announcements for the buyer and for gear rules (mesh size, net length and depth).
