Kwethluk Clean-Up/Green-Up (annual spring cleanup with prizes)

Every spring after break-up the OVK Tribal Environment Department (IGAP) runs the Beautify Kwethluk Clean-Up/Green-Up (2026: May 26 - June 12, extended). Residents register by calling the OVK IGAP department at 907-757-6714 (IGAP direct 907-757-6010), pick up ALPAR trash bags in bundles of 5 at the OVK office behind the city building or at OVK#2 between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and check in with IGAP at the end of each day so bags are counted under their name. Prizes in 2026 included 16 bikes, smaller prizes, and 25 x $20 cash prizes donated by KDM.
