Native Village of Napaimute (NVN)

The Native Village of Napaimute is a federally recognized tribe on the middle Kuskokwim (upriver from Aniak). Its programs include a Natural Resources Division (Aniak Test Fishery June 1-July 15, water-quality sampling, the Kuskokwim Ice Road crew that marks and reports winter trail conditions), the annual Jacob Wise Memorial Spirit Camp for youth, a summer youth employment program (SYETP), cultural wellness workshops, a Tribal Library, and a gas station and store at Napaimute (gas Mon-Fri 9:00 AM-7:00 PM, Sat 12:00-5:00 PM, closed Sunday). Tribal members who want to attend Traditional Council meetings (2026 virtual schedule: Sept 30, Oct 28, Nov 18, Dec 30, 4-6 PM; Annual Tribal Gathering Dec 12, 2026, virtual) email the Executive Director at [email protected].
