4. Barrow beach closure

Work on the Barrow Coastal Erosion project continues, and Brice Incorporated reminds you that the area along the beach between Osaka’s restaurant and the Fur Shop remains closed to public access due to heavy equipment and haul trucks working in the area. Walking or playing on the revetment is prohibited because of loose rocks that can shift unexpectedly. Authorities are asking for the public’s cooperation and for parents to remind their children to stay away for safety sake. Work will continue through the winter months with a short break over the Christmas holidays. By mid October, nearly 130,000 tons of rock will have landed in Barrow. For questions or concerns, call 907-388-2020 or 907-371-9697…
