Girls on the Run Ketchikan (WISH) - spring program grades 4-6 + volunteer coaches

Girls on the Run is an 8-week spring running/confidence program for girls in grades 4-6, run locally by Women In Safe Homes (with Let Me Run for boys). Teams have met twice a week after school at Houghtaling and the Rec Center (about 3-5:30pm), ending with a 5K at Ward Lake in May with refreshments. Scholarships are available - ask WISH. WISH recruits volunteer coaches each winter (free training, no running experience needed); register at https://www.gotrgreateralaska.org/coach or contact the WISH business office (907-228-4099, [email protected]). Participant registration has been online (pinwheel.us) or on paper forms sent home through schools.
