KIC General Assistance (GA) - rent, utilities, food, heat for Native households
Short-term, employment-focused financial help for low-income Alaska Native/American Indian adults (18+) living in Ketchikan: rent/mortgage or eviction, utilities (KPU), heating oil, food and household items, plus help finding work. GA is a secondary resource - you must first apply to ATAP/TANF, APA, SSI, etc. and show the result. Saxman residents apply through Tlingit & Haida instead. Bring the completed application with proof of enrollment/blood quantum, ID, Social Security cards, 30 days of income and bank statements, and rent/utility bills.
