Tongass Historical Museum (Ketchikan Museums)

The city's history museum downtown at 629 Dock St, next to the library site on Ketchikan Creek. Hosts Museum Midday — free lunchtime talks on local history, art, science and traditional knowledge, open to all. School field trips and group tours are free for locals with two weeks notice. Admission is always free for local residents. Call 907-225-5600. The City's Ketchikan Museums also run the Totem Heritage Center (601 Deermount St, 907-225-5900). Summer (May-September) both are open daily with paid guided tours; October-April Tuesday-Saturday 1-5pm.
