Totem Heritage Center (Ketchikan Museums)
City-run cultural center holding one of the largest collections of 19th-century totem poles, and home of the Native Arts Studies Program (NASP) — classes in Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian carving, weaving, basketry, design and regalia making, usually one to two weeks each, October through April; students can earn a Certificate of Merit or University of Alaska credit. Open Craft Time is every Saturday 1-5pm mid-October through mid-April, free, for anyone working on a Northwest Coast art project. 601 Deermount St, Ketchikan. Call 907-225-5900.
